Husskie, The Label sees the Husskie publication take on a new journey beyond the digital pages into the physical. Immersed in the world of fashion since early days, this next obvious step has been patiently waiting in the sidelines for its time.
Launching with a capsule collection of considered accessories, the initial range features 23 pieces with a focus on function and optics. Laid-back accessories adaptable for sandy days to evening sundowners. Inspiration is drawn from the effortlessly cool, the ones who can slide out of the pool with slicked back hair and sunburnt lips – grab a tinny and dance to no music.
COLLECTION I : TALI AND ALICE
Interwoven throughout Collection I is the story of Tali and Alice. Two sisters with a relationship disrupted by a juxtaposition of personalities. Tali: adventurous and spirited, Alice: steady and sensible – their individual stories entwine throughout the debut collection.
While we still have a long way to go, we have kept sustainability in mind throughout the development process – with pieces made out of natural materials wherever possible. We have made all attempts to avoid plastic in packaging and we are also committed to only providing smaller collection runs to avoid waste.
At Husskie we obviously want to be good, but we also want to do good. We have chosen a charity close to our hearts to donate a percentage of profits from each collection. For Collection I, we will be donating 5 per cent of all profits to help in the fight against the NSW and Queensland bushfires in Australia. We recently witnessed first-hand some of the devastation caused by these fires and fear it’s only going to get worse. We have chosen to align ourselves with The Salvation Army Disaster Appeal, who are raising funds to support communities affected by the bushfires.
